Either a horizontal (with sealing lips downwards) of your HEIDENHAIN Scale or a vertical mounting attitude may be adopted for the linear transducer. With vertical mounting of your HEIDENHAIN Linear encoder, care must be taken that the HEIDENHAIN sealing lips are located on the far side of any potential contamination source (splash water etc...)
